I've used a Nutribullet and actually thought it was a bit crap (Poor chopping, kept getting bunged up etc..) I'm sure there are better ones out there.

They are good at marketing, which is probably why you've heard of them before other / better ones.

I've had a Nutribullet & a Nutrinija & the ninja is much better:
  • It has volume markings on the cup making it simple to measure ingredients or liquids
  • The blades on the bullet are very close to the base so they are difficult to clean
  • The thread on the top is on the inside on the ninja & the outside on the bullet which I found easier to drink from
Whichever you buy make sure it has at least one button which just blitzes for 60 seconds. If there are no controls you'll need to use a timer or guess how long it's been going. The more watts the bettter of course, especially if you are blending stalky veg.

We have a buttonless ninja and I love it ... picked it up in wilko for £30 with loads of accessories - I’m sure it was priced wrong

I've been using a ninja to make smoothies everyday for nearly 3 years now. It has been absolutely faultless in that time. When I went on holiday to South Africa for 3 weeks I bought a cheaper one to use and it was rubbish, just not powerful enough to properly chop all the ingredients so my smoothies were more like 'lumpies'. So personally I wouldn't bother with a cheap one, stick to something more powerful

I've got a Breville one for making smoothies. It does the job fine, although I've never had anything else to compare it to.

Got a Morphy Richards 403035 Blend Express, 300 W, about £25. Just great. Who needs 1000w for fruit, veg and some ice? Just ridiculous. You could blend a fking brick with 1000w. Just chucking money away.
