I’m a newbie poster here but with a long-term addiction to buying cars I can ill afford. This has got out of hand recently with the purchase of 3 items.

A Porsche 968 coupe. (A bit beaten up but fun to drive.)
An Audi TT 240 Quattro. (A bit predictable but quite quick.)
And a Ford Racing Puma. Kind of pretty but less quick (and a bit loud.)

In my defense, I like all of them and it is great to have a choice of interesting things to drive, but with only one garage and an overdraft to feed, decisions have to be made. I guess all these cars might be valuable in the distant future, but which one gets the nod. Any lifestyle advice appreciated. I really don't know what to do.

Depends on the individual examples, I prefer my TT to the 944 S2 (Nearest thing to a 968) I had in a lot of ways, certainly easier if you need to use as daily, the TT engine is a bit more resilient, those 16 valve 3 litre engines can through up some big bills, mainly top end rebuilds, mine was fine as the PO had spent two grand plus on it at Hartech, not sure if 968's rust like the 944 did, mine looked fine but was crumbling under the stone protection.

TT's are knocking on a bit but will be a good 8 years older than the youngest 968 and they share a bit more with other TT's, many of which are being broken currently.

Dont know much about Pumas apart from they rust, not sure if the FRP is as bad as the normal one but it probably is, not something I would daily over the winter, they have gone daft recently price wise.

So, would day the TT is the best one to keep as an all rounder/daily but would get something cheap and cheerful to use every day.

Yeah, thanks for thoughts. Puma is charismatic however. They are all good at different things.
I'm anxious I let the wrong two go and watch them spiral in price. Guess thats the real nub.
About 1000 968s left. 350 pumas. Maybe 650 TT's etc. Impossible to guess I know.

The Racing Puma is a special car and increasing in value all the time.

The other 2 are neither.

I'd be losing the TT straight away. The other 2 would be a a little closer - weirdly I suspect the Puma might ust sneak it

Which one made you smile the most when first driven on a good road?

erm.. the TT didn't make me smile. I was surprised cause to my eyes they are beautiful things. But there seems a certain drama missing in the driving. Its like its powered by an elastic band rather than an engine. I almost suspect they are better with comfortable seats and leather to suit the GT cruiser thing. Transaxle Porsches I have always really liked. I've had a few 944s down the years. The 968 is marginally better than those but not by much. The Puma though is like a happy little terrier. It's a bit more difficult to live with on a really long run though. Choices. Decisions. The drama.
