Freelance audio transcription?

Im currently travelling in my self built Mercedes 814 motorhome and am looking at ways to generate a basic income.

Something that’s popped up a few times is audio transcription. Does anybody here have experience in this field?

If so, any recommendations of firms to go through? Advice etc?

Do you mean typing up audio recordings?

If so, this is a decreasing market as there exists reasonably good software that does this.

You might want to contact some publishers as they are likely to have the greatest need but also - as a result - are likely already well served.

Hmmm, I would disagree with the above.

My partner has recently conducted a number of interviews with government organisations in relation to her Phd. She needs these transcribed and she's tried many of the software applications but all of them seem to be really poor with accuracy - especially if the audio quality is less than perfect.

The other concern is security. Some of the information has been given on the prevision it stays anonymous and my partner was not happy with some of the data policies of a number of applications.

I would punt your services on Reddit and see if there are any other forums that are relevant.
