Firstly, let me preface this with the fact I neither have the time not organisational skills to organise this.

I personally think there are some real hero's on pistonheads, take the LFA thread as an example, I'd personally like to see some of these recognised.

So it's a shout out to Haymarket and the community to see if we could get some voting threads and awards together, thinking along the lines of

1 - Best thread
2 - Best post
3 - Most helpful member
4 - Most posts 2017

Etc etc

Ideally there would be some prizes supplied by Haymarket that would be appropriate, likely non monetary and useful to people who have money (who could give to charitys etc) some examples could be a day out in the caterham, a chance to join one of the road tests, meet the editor q+a session etc etc

Is there anyone from Haymarket willing to organise this?

Does anyone else think it's a good idea?

Or will this thread disappear into the 27th page history of general gassing within a week of posting, never to be seen again.

Yes but not an award for most posts as volume does categorically not equal quality

Honestly they were just the first catageorys that entered my head, if it was to be done then I'd like to think the categories were given proper consideration to give mixed and varied winners whilst recognising quality contributions

It's a nice idea but unfortunately HM has evidently pretty much given up on the forum and doesn't direct any resources this way, so it won't be offering assistance never mind prizes!

You forgot the "most argumentative member".

Quite, he categorically argues even after he has been proven wrong.

Haymarket don't run Pistonheads, the mods do, Haymarket aren't interested in Pistonheads.

I've only been here for a few years. But I'd agree generally seems more bhy but i think that's just because of more members etc.

Don't always need to argue! But luckily it is only the minority I think.

Shame anyway i enjoyed reading your tales. Thanks for sharing. And all the best smile
