Refitting 2013 Cayenne rear view mirror

Needing a little help refitting the mirror after it was knocked off.. I've fiddled around with it but it just won't clip back into place.. also can't find any advice online but thinking this should be easy.. can anyone help?

The claw plate/mechanism rotates around the boss fixed to the screen - you need to push it onto the boss at 40-45 degrees and rotate it clockwise to horizontal; the boss has a detent position that locks out the claw (you can gently twist it around with a 21mm spanner to make it easier).

Sounds a faff but once it goes on it's a tight fit; any looseness indicates either the claw is out of shape (tweak it with long nose pliers); or it's not clipped on all four points. It is available as a spare part (less than a tenner) if all else fails; you don't need to replace the whole mirror.
