Well not a "new" track but the intention is to reclaim 15 Acres of land that could add to the Current track. Maybe even create a few overtaking opportunities? The land would known as Portier cove.

Why is it reclaimed? They've never had it before. It is claimed land.

Plenty of links to the project but none (that I could find) mention redesigning the circuit.

So what happens to the people who formally had a waterfront view apartment who now get to stare at a towerblock?

corner? ... a cul-de-sac would be more apt, surely?

They'll be using their €500 notes to wipe away their tears.

I think, they mean re-claimed from sea... as in, part of the land mass they own extends out into the sea but of course, being underwater, means you can't build on it. The sea "has it" and by tipping a load of hardcore onto the seabead, they can "re-claim" it.

Doubtful, the car in front would just hug the right hand side like now.

Presumably that was why there were screens at Portier corner this year, blocking the view of the construction site

I believe the cause of the bump is the sewer main so not easily fixed.
