Project Cars 2 or GT Sport - Logitech G29 Deal!

So I have eye'd this week up as the week to seek out a deal on a Logitech G29 now I have the PS4 Pro, and get a Playseat Challenge to go with it!

One offer for the G29 has been put up, but the codes PCWorld offer, aren't working at the checkout and their offer when phoning is pay full price, and we'll transfer you to another team and they'll refund the 30%..... Ummm thanks but no thanks, get the codes working first!

But then which game? GT Sport, seems to have the more talk about here? But the diehards were thinking Project Cars 2 is the better game? All talk of PC2 seems to have long gone, whereas the GTSport thread continues at a pace.

I'm looking for more sim than arcade, I liked Project Cars, but only ever played it on the pad, thoughts? Feedback? All welcome!

I played project cars on a pad, then i got the older version of that wheel off a mate. Difference is like night and day for me on the PC, so much better and i actually don't think i could have played it without

I can't comment on GT Sports or PC2 but love the first PC game myself

That PC World deal, was it for £153? I've just clicked the link and it is showing the bundle at £219.99, a £49.99 saving.

If it was down to £153, you should definitely have bought it. PC World must have dropped a bk there...

Well its up for £219, and says 30% off the marked price, however you cannot apply the code at the checkout.

And I assume its down to £153, as even if you took the full price of £269.98, and discounted 30% that would be £188.98.

The same bundle (G29 + Shifter) was £129.99 last year at Curry's PC World.

I was actually considering selling my setup (G29, shifter and Playseat Challenge) because it barely sees any use

A friend of mine suggested he get it for similar last year, on a black friday deal on Amazon though! Am wondering whether something else will come along!

Last year the G29 set came down to 129.99 as a promotion at PC World, which was price-matched on Amazon...

Then on Black Friday itself PC World offered the G29 and shifter combo for the same price, prompting many of the folks who noticed it to 'return' their previous order and get the combo deal at no extra cost. I remember waiting at the click and collect counter and the two people in front of me were doing exactly the same!

Picked my G29 up for £98 at Currys PC World a while back - iirc it was after a 'black friday' sale. Certainly not the cheapest time to pick up items.

As for the wheel itself, i'm slower than with a controller and i have a full play seat etc to mount mine onto. Most odd.
