Hi Guys

I popped into VW today and I am discussing a private lease deal with them - have any of you done this direct with them or do you use a 3rd party?

I have googled it and there are so many options i have no idea where to start and which are reputable?

Cheers
Mark

You need to speak to the fleet department rather than the retail sales team. Take a look at the contracthireandleasing website to see which dealers are offering the best rates and then ring around a few.

I ended up getting the best lease deal on a Golf Gti from a chap called Rob at VW in Bradford. However, Crewe VW also offered a decent rate.

My dealer didn't charge any additional arrangement fee which most brokers do.

Vertu or CVL were cheapest for a GTE Advance when I was looking in August. But really it was just a case of trawling https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/ and https://www.whatcar.com/car-leasing/ and getting quotes. Many are actually just the leasing department of various VW dealer groups.

I stick it all in a quick spreadsheet to work out total cost - admin fees vary, and you're not always charged the same overall for 3, 6 or 9 months deposit.

edit: oh, and you'll have plenty of time to work out what to do with your current car - 6 month lead time on these now (a mate ordered one today)!
