As per the title.

I am so bored its not funny anymore

We have been absolutley dead here now for weeks, its kind of worrying I've known quiet periods before but damn this is getting silly.

I've had nothing to do all this week, there's only so much on the Internet to look at & deffinitley only so much moving files to look busy

I really need to find a new job that keeps me occupied...only trouble is I have no idea what I want to do

Oh if your interested i'm in Shipping (Freight Forwarding) & its boring me to tears.

Anybody else in the same boat or is it just me?

Neil

Cant help out on the new job front, but have a look at www.somethingawfull.com and follow the "goldmine" links on the left.

That should keep you amused for a while :P

It's peaks and troughs here right now.

To be fair I kinda have an alternative problem - I've got a stack of work to do - which is classed really as miscellaneous or routine... and although it needs doing and I seriously need to not be procrastinating, I've just discovered PH and cannot, for the life of me, stop ruddy posting!!! It's addictive..... :-)

Nope I am in exactly the same boat although we have been dead for two weeks now, the longest quiet period I have known in the 9years of working here.

mind you, after this week I only have two weeks left to work, then I'm leaving

How about trying a bit of smuggling. It looks exciting on all those old films, what with: dodging the Revenue Men; hiding in caves; drinking in taverns surrounded by buxom wenches; etc.

LMAO

I didnt even realise the funny in that

Ta for the offer Bedford Rascal, I actually work for DFDS at the mo, but I'm seriously trying now to find something to get me out of shipping, I've been doing it now for 7 years & I really want a total career change now if I could just decide what the hell I want to do

Thanks for the link as well guys off for a quick look now.

If you look at the number of post certain people have made you'll realise it's not just you

Trust me it's far too late now. Look at my post numbers and the time I've been on here. Then look at my job.

I'm having to say over an hour longer than I need to at work to catch up on what I should have been doing.

I know what you mean! Same here - same profession, same addiction, same having to stay late to catch up!

Having taken a 12 month break from work, it is now a refreshing change to be working and genuinely rushed off my feet.

On the down side, this working lark is cutting into my PH time

The last two elections occurred during the time I have been self employed. On each occasion, the closer it got to the election, the quieter work was. I suspect much the same thing will happen this time. Roll on May 6th!
