Donington National, 29/01/18, £99!!

Hi Everyone,

Myself and a few others are booked onto this trackday at Donington with MSV. Only £99, even if it's raining it's such a cheap day to turn down.

Donington is a great circuit & at that price it’s cheap. Sadly my car won’t pass the noise limit.

How bad is the 98dB drive-by at Donington?

I notice the site says it's not comparable to the 92 at other venues.

Driveby is never comparable with other venues but where Oulton is 105 static and 92 driveby, a car that just gets through at Oulton will almost certainly fail at Donny on a 98db day.

Pretty much any standard road car at Donny (possibly excluding GT3/GT4s etc) should fly through no problem and plenty of modded cars will make it through but noisy road or race cars may well have difficulties; neither of my track cars will get through on a 98 day.

Sadly it's my wife's birthday that day and strangely she's not keen on a trackday to celebrate. Pffffft.
