Rev counter intermittent 1993 pre-serp 400

I have a 1993 pre- serp 400. The dash rev counter reads correctly some of the time and sometimes reads low. I suspect a poor connection in the wiring.
I know that later cars have two feeds from the coil. One for the ECU and one for the Tacho. On these later cars there are two resistors in series with the feeds in the wiring and they can be seen taped to the loom above the water pump.
On my 1993 I have found one resistor connected and taped to the wiring loom close to the Air Flow Meter.
I have been unable to locate a second resistor.
Has anyone any idea if there is one and where i can find it ?
