It was that dodgy goldy/orange colour, which probably didn't help, but it really did look sh*te.

Sorry!

Agreed, the convertible completely loses the lovely glowing lines of the coupe

Agreed - the convertible looks crap in comparision. The sweeping curves down the back are utterly lost. A royal shame.

I prefer the Coupe but I wouldn't turn down a convertable. Saw lots of 350z's on hol in America and the shape has really grown on me. I think it's more elegant and will age better than the RX8 (Which I still think is a stunning design!)

Why? It still converts.... ish.

Define convertible?

Hmmmm... ok, thats a tough one.

The elise has a fabric roof that only covers the mid bit. In the same way a Tuscan has a hard bit that covers the mid section. Do we define the Tuscan as a convertable?

A convertible is an automobile with a folding, retracting, or removable roof. The collapsible roof section is typically made from flexible canvas or vinyl, although plastic, aluminium and steel have occasionally been used in elaborate folding designs.
