I was browsing Amazon a few days ago to purchase a replacement shower head, and as usual, to qualify i had to order £20 worth of stuff. I put it in my basket and carried on browsing but couldn't really be bothered to spend too long on it so i moved it in to my 'saved for later' basket.

After giving up i thought i would have a look at ebay and with that, found one albeit a pound more expensive but included delivery.

Hit the buy it now button and that was that, and went back to my Amazon account and deleted the item from there.

Looked at my emails a day or so later and found that the ebay one had been dispatched and to expect it in a few days.

Anyhoo, come today, I get a delivery from Amazon, even though I hadn't ordered anything from them.

Opened up the box, and it was the shower head i was looking at purchasing, along with a gift note from someone called Teodora saying 'Enjoy your gift!'.

WTF?

Anyone else had a free gift from Amazon?

Beginning to think that i might be speshel.

hehe

Are you sure the eBay seller didn’t supply through amazon?

Hmmmm never thought of that.

Just checked the eBay seller and it is indeed Teodora!

Wow, never had that before but I guess he has 'made' a quid if he pays for prime.

Thing is, i never really shop that much on eBay so i wasnt aware of this way of selling.

Now i am disappointed.

Thanks guys.

biggrin

It’s simpier than that, you pay him X, he clicks a button on Amazon and they charge him Y, they deliver straight to you and he makes Z profit.

Minimal work involved, direct fulfilment from amazon so doesn’t even have to send items out or keep in stock.
