I dont know if I told any of you this but on the day, the timing guys mentioned the sl65 was very close. 5th gear radio'd me & said that they were next to the timing beams & could i send the next car down as close as is safe.

I sent off Phatgixxer with this instruction & as he left I remembered how close he had been getting anyway.

The 5th gear crew then screamed up the radio that they were all shi**ing themselves & as he passed they reckoned if they'd reached out a hand they could have touched the car!!

Think I was riding shotgun on the first run after Phatgixxer got the nod from Craig, we passed about as close on that occasion as well - in addition to needing a new perm and set, adjustments in the jewel box were necessary
