Settle an argument...

I suspect there is a little more to it. Meat varies in taste as much as vegetables or fruit do. As for vegetarian? There are numerous types ranging from those who just don't eat meat or fish right up to near vegan.
When younger I had a mate who swore blind that he was allergic to most vegetables just because he didn't like them or at least he had a hang up about them from childhood.
The Vegetarian Society defines a vegetarian as follows:
"A vegetarian is someone who lives on a diet of grains, pulses, legumes, nuts, seeds, vegetables, fruits, fungi, algae, yeast and/or some other non-animal-based foods (e.g. salt) with, or without, dairy products, honey and/or eggs. A vegetarian does not eat foods that consist of, or have been produced with the aid of products consisting of or created from, any part of the body of a living or dead animal. This includes meat, poultry, fish, shellfish*, insects, by-products of slaughter** or any food made with processing aids created from these."

Someone I know doesn't eat meat as they don't like the taste of it, his girlfriend insists he is a vegetarian but I say he is just someone who doesn't eat meat as a vegetarian doesn't eat meat through choice not because they don't like the taste.
Your views please?
Why are you and somebody else arguing about whether a third person is vegetarian?Your views please?

So, if he walks like a duck, and bums blokes like a gay, then he's a vegetarian? Otherwise, are you gay but just refuse to bum blokes because you don't like the feeling?
I'm glad we cleared that up.

The reason is irrelevant, the fact that he doesn't eat meat means he's a Vegetarian, regardless of the reasoning behind it.Your views please?
Your point falls down as someone that doesn't eat meat because they don't like the taste is making the choice not to eat meat for that reason, therefore they are doing it through choice which means you have no argument.
What do you call someone that doesn't eat meat, but isn't a vegetarian then?
A friend of mine is a vegan and I recently gave him a big heavy leather bound cook book, he said "I'm sorry I can't accept this"
I replied "why, is it due to your staunch beliefs on the welfare and treatment of animals used in the food chain?"
He said...............
"No, I can't lift it!"
