Stalling at low revs...
Discussion
So..my 4.2 cerb has been running fine until yesterday...i decided to take it out for a bit of a blow out seeing was lovely and dry...i have to say it was a bit sluggish at low revs..anyway put it away and about an hour later had to take it back out (emergency at work and wife had the family car)..it wouldn't idle for love nor money and kept stalling unless I gave it loads of revs..now granted I had the lights on by now but no battery light coming on...i presumed that one of the coils was breaking down but decided to charge the battery just to check this wasn't the problem...tried the car today and it's fine...anybody experienced this with a low battery..??
Could be a multitude of things. I'd start off by getting some diags hooked up if/when it happens again!
Low batteries can cause all manner of electrical gremlins, but if you'd been out for a reasonable run it shouldn't have gone flat in an hour (unless it's not charging or the battery is goosed, which the diags will help you with!)
