Cerbera Vs Porsche 996 Turbo

Haven't been in a Cerb for ages and just hired a 996 turbo today after making the mistake of renting a boxster (forgive him father, he knows not what he does).

! Those Porkers are pretty nippy! Had a bit of a race going down to Santa Monica with a lovely bird driving a Gallardo. Not bad.

Anyone care to remind me about the raw acceleration of the Cerb please. Not even considering switching sides by the way.

Had you been driving the Cerb, your tale would have contained details of the aforementioned bird and your good self doing other things together, upon arrival in Santa Monica.

Indeed it would.

Honestly, standing at the crossing of Beverley Blvd and Wiltshire, every car that you can buy now went b y one after the other. I lost count of how many SL55s there were. At one point there were four queued up at the lights.

Chap in a Vanq was the star though as he was looking rather Bond-like in a suite and tasty looking watch. The bird in the Gallardo was extremely tasty.........she was a blond though Nothing a bottle of hair dye wont fix eh

I have always look upon the 996 Turbo as one of the cars that I wouldn’t play with. The fact that they are forced induction and not just injection gives me the justification I need not to play. The other problem, for me, would be traction. I don’t know what sort of electronics are employed on the porker to keep the traction a 5% slippage but, as we all know, there is naff all on our wonderful Cerbera’s ( apart from our right feet!).

I had a little play time with a cracking bird the other night too, dunno what car she drove though!

Bondesque Omega? "Proper man's watch" Breitling? Or chav Rolex (assuming it wasn't a Daytona)?

Sorry, if there's one thing I care more about than cars, it's well engineered watches...

Straight line, they're fun to play with. Especially above 40 once you've started getting the power down. Assuming it's not been "tweaked" like plenty have to well over 500BHP. that is. And it's not a full blown RUF one. Then you're just in for a spanking. A spanking by a duck-billed platypus, admittedly, but it's still gonna sting.
