Surprised no-one has commented on this:

"Court backs salesman's claim for 13 years of holiday pay"

Self employed salesman (from the sounds of it might even have been worse than a "zero hours" contract - almost reads as if he was "commission only") has been granted £27K in backpay. Well, subject to appeal anyway.

This whole self-employed, worker, employee categorisation is a complete mess.

I appreciate that a "one size fits all" approach is very difficult due to the varied nature of roles, but the Government have to come up with clearer guidance. I saw the other day that Deliveroo won their case, while Uber lost a similar case around worker's rights. The difference seeming determined by a clause in the Deliveroo contract which allowed for substitution of riders.

I know this might sound harsh and some will claim it is ripe for exploitation, but I think if you sign a contract then you either abide by the terms or you quit.
