I'm looking at purchasing a pickup for one of the lads.
He has came to me with a few options but i'm drawn to the Fiat Fullback.
Does anyone run one of the newer pickups ? What are your thoughts on them ?
I've had a few navaras in the past MY11 to MY13 & i was always impressed with them
TIA

the fiat is a Mitsubishi l200 in disguise, which is possibly the worst pickup on the market at the moment, my money would be going on either a navara or an amarok v6 or maybe a ranger, it also depends on what you are going to be doing with it, if you are towing then you will be dissapointed with anything other than an amarok v6 or ranger wildtrack
I had a look around one of these the other day.....seemed decent enough

Someone I know has been looking at pickups since LR stopped doing commercial Discovery's. His will have to work pretty hard. He's tried them all and I get the impression there wasn't really anything that bad, in that they all had plus and minus. He seemed to like the Ford and as bought a used Amorak to see how it goes before committing to a new one.
I have the new Mitsubishi L200, had it 2 years 33,000 MILES. 100% reliable. Great piece of kit for the price. Best 4 wheeled drive system of all current pick up I believe although Toyota is probably as good.
5 year warranty, good turning circle, not too wide and will go in a car park.
There is no such thing as a poor pick up anymore. You just pay more money for branded goods. VW being a good example, probably £8 to £10k more than an L200 is it really worth that much?
It has plenty of grunt, stable and mpg is fair (31). Stereo is excellent

Another recomendation for the L200. Haven't looked much into the latest generation, but in the 00s models the L200 had market leading turning circle and 4wd system. I've driven 00 and 10s models L200, Navara's & Rangers. The Ranger is fantastic, the 3.2 5pot guise really is something special, but, to me, unless you are frequently towing large trailers it is just too damn big. Navara handled weight really well, felt a bit numb compared to L200.
I had my own (not work vehicle) L200 for 15k miles, from 165 to 180k miles and it was reliable, I can't imagine Fiat have f
ked it up that bad well glueing their badges on.
