Sonos - will it work with music stored on an Amazon Fire?
Discussion
I've got Sonos at home set up from either a computer or the NAS and it works v well. I'm going to be weekly commuting for a couple of years and wondered if a could save my music onto a cheap Amazon tablet and then stream it to either the Sonos 3 or more probably the 5.
Anyone know if it is this simple?

I don’t understand your question OP.
Do you mean you have Sonos at your home, which plays music that’s stored on a NAS
Now you’re going to be staying away from home mid-week, and what to listen to music there.
Presumably you’ll take a Sonos device to this second location, and you want to now if it would be possible for that Sonos device to play music you’ve transferred/stored on an amazon tablet that you’ll take with you?

I think that if you can install https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sonos-Controller-for-Andr... on your cheap fire tablet, then what you're after will work.
Follow up answer to some of the points.
Was planning to take one of my Sonos away during the week and use it from another source. Spoke to a local dealer and that's possible but it will need a router to set up. Now you could just set up a router to create a local network even if it cannot connect to the internet. That will allow Sonos controllers to work and then it just comes down to the source.
I could just plug in an old ipod into line in on my Sonos 5 but if I can stream from an Amazon Fire then its a cheap way to take all my music and retain the normal control.
If I can get wifi then it will just be a normal set up.
