Hi
Looking for some help on this Tag Heuer 2000 Series Quartz I bought in 1990. It hasn't worked for a while and I've tried a new battery to no avail. Can anyone help with what the movement is.
Would I be correct in assuming that, according to the stamping, it is an ETA 955.232. If so does anyone know where I can get a replacement? Thanks.

This is no help, but I have the same watch, same problem. I took it to a watch repair specialist who tried to fix it but advised that spares were not available. I have been looking for an alternative movement to no avail.

Any ideas would be more than welcome.

You have depressed me sir! But thanks for your input. Perhaps there is another movement that would fit. I may have missed it but can't find a Tag Heuer Forum which seems strange.

It seems that the ETA 955.232 movement was ceased being made over 10 years ago. However according to someone on this forum:

http://forums.watchuseek.com/f25/tag-says-they-can...

the ETA 955.112 may be a direct replacement. Ebay has them listed at arround £25 so may be worth a punt. However it's getting beyond my ken and only something that a watch repairer would be able to advise on.

That's an interesting option, however, the chronograph module would have to be swapped over. I am pretty sure that the chronograph module is also not available but would love to be proved wrong! I will try and speak to my repair chap.

I think I've decided that it's not worth the expense of finding out. It's only a quartz after all!
