Alright all,
Been treating myself to a car lift, it has the four arms that extend onto the lifting points, what are the best points to lift a chimaera on? I don't want to put any unnecessary pressure on the body or outweighed.

I always use the four outrigger points at each end of the cill section, straight onto the bolts.

As long as your outriggers are in fair condition, all will be well.

A little tip from Sardonicus, get yourself four ice hockey puks and use them on top of your rubber pads and the bolts will push into them and not ruin the pads on your lift.

Make sure you use some form of protection on the jack as suggested or you will gradually take the coating off and the dreaded will set it.

don't try to lift mid way on a chassis tube, always pick up on the triangulated points as said above, outrigger corners or main chassis rails, avoid mid spans either on outriggers or main rails, always use rubber blocks between jack saddle and tubes.
