Single Post Lift

Looking for a new garage toy. I was looking at a scissor lift but these caught my eye? Anyone got one? Any good?

I don't have room for a 2/4 post without falling over it and a single that can be moved could always be moved outside to get up to full height if needed.

I looked at one of these when I was after a lift in my little garage though decided against it and went for this SCISSOR LIFT instead. My main problem with the single post was that with the tiller arm and controls all on one side, it would still limit my space on that side. The scissor lift takes a lot less space up.
I didn't need the mobility factor as I raised the ceiling in the garage to gain height though, if you do, then I suppose that it may be beneficial. Just bear in mind that you'll need a VERY smooth surface before attempting to drag it around with those little nylon wheels. Or some sympathetic mates.

I've got that exact one, only had it a month but pretty pleased so far. Price was more like £2250 with delivery and assembly/comissioning added on.
Twice the price of a 2 post and doesn't lift as much but in a tight space it was our only option. Not as stable as a 2 post either, our floor is hand floated concrete but it can still get a bit of a wobble on especially if you've got a longer vehicle on. Got no concerns about it tipping over though even giving it some stick.
Definitely plump for the movable version, it's dead handy being able to pull it back out of the way and position it differently for different vehicles.
Low vehicles need a couple of planks to drive on to clear the arms but anything normal drives right over.

How do you find the stability when the lift is up high? stable? Does it also need an air compressor? Is access underneath any good or limited by the ramps?

Rock solid with no noticeable movement at all, even when wrestling with a breaker bar on seized bolts on a 2.5t Jeep. Rob52 said:

The one I have, which I linked to, doesn't need air, just a 16 amp power supply. Access is certainly limited to sills though a couple of blocks (supplied) help. There is nothing in the middle so exhausts, transmissions etc are no problem, nor are suspension and brakes.I prefer the scissor as it takes no space up and I can leave a car on it indefinitely which suits.

Thanks for the info. I think I may have been swayed back to the scissor. I was looking at the lower lift one that went to 1m but that needs separate air to free the lock and drop.I prefer the scissor as it takes no space up and I can leave a car on it indefinitely which suits.
