30.35 divide by 69.8 multiply by 70 minus 30.35 = 0.08696275

30.35kg divided by 69.8% = 0.4348.

:. 100% is 43,481g

70% is 30,4369g.

Add 86.9 grams.

How accurate does this measurement have to be?

Edited to say you wanted the answer in kilograms, ergo 0.0869 kg. 0.087kg to 2 s.f.

You haven't worded the question brilliantly.

If you mean how much more, on top of the 69.8% you have now, do you need to get to 70%, the answer is 0.0869.

If you mean how much do I need in total to have 70%, it's 30.4369

I’m just a little worried what it is that weighs 30kg, and yet needs to be 70% within a few grams...

13 yrs daughter needs to be at 70%

she is at 69.8% which is 30.35kg still critical/ life threatening weight

in hospital and likely to be sectioned on Monday if we cant get her to eat enough although she is trying really hard and has increased well over the last 10 days from 29kg.

Now that's a completely different question. I don't know how I can help with that revised question but I absolutely feel for you having two daughters of a similar age myself. Stay strong and I hope things work out.

I'm sure it would be worth posting in the Health Matters forum, there will definitely be other PH'rs who have gone through a similar challenge.

All the best for your daughter and the family (I have two of a similar age, but we have the opposite problem).

Superlightr you’re a total gent to take the time to write that. I’ve heard the best people sometimes get the toughest trials in life, because they are the ones with the strength to deal with them. Wish you that strength, sir.

I have read that calories can be absorbed through skin, so you could try rubbing lots of coconut oil/butter, probably best on her stomach, or any fatty but healthy substance that skin will absorb.

87g is nothing to put on for a weigh in surely, half a pint of water is 227g and takes seconds to drink. I go up and down a couple of kg with food and water in/out.
