I’m actually disappointed. The first snow day for a good few years and I’m already off on paternity leave. I’ve never felt so cheated. hehe

On the VPN today (i.e. homeworking). Probably nothing stopping me getting into the office but last time I tried on a snow day none of the key holders had bothered, including the one who lived less than 2 miles away, so I ended up waiting around in the cold for getting on for an hour before someone did turn up with the keys to the office.

Just rain here.

Waiting for them to cancel the conference I'm attending today/tomorrow. Only 30 minutes away for me so not too bad either way.
Somewhat worried about my evening plans going into that London for dinner.

One of my keener colleagues came in yesterday and cleared our offices bit of the car park of snow... Never had a snow day.

We've just had an en e-mail advising us of an "amber snow warning" with 5-10 cm expected this afternoon (had about half that on Sunday which then froze last night but the roads are mostly clear), and recommending people leave early an either work from home or take flexi. Unfortunately I have no work I can do from home and it's my last week in the office so not really got spare flexi either. It is only a 40 minute walk home though, but I'm regretting taking my Gore-Tex shoes home on Friday.
