Tudor Black Bay “Green”
Discussion
What are peoples thoughts on this watch? Investment potential? https://www.revolution.watch/tudor-black-bay-green...
First numbered run have all gone. There may be further production runs but now there is a waiting list.

I think that any commercial tie-in is naff.
"I bought a Tudor" is a good thing to say.
"I bought a Harrods watch" is not a good thing to say.
"I bought a Tudor watch with Harrods written on it" Hmmm...
To me, it makes you look like you bought the watch for the tie-in (BMW, RAF, Harrods or whatever), and you don't necessarily know anything about watches.
I think the green looks really good, but I wouldn't have one.

Very few watches will prove an investment and most 'product tie in special editions' are no better than the base watch.
Will the Green BB be more of an investment than a standard BB? Probably not
Is a BB an investment (in the sense of increasing in value) Probably not
Do I own a Rio Seamaster over a std Seamaster for it's investment potential ... "No, I like the multi colour Bezel over the std Seamaster"
If you like the Green over the std BB then go for it

5 months was the length of time it took for a piece to become available (it is numbered). I put my name down on the waiting list in December and got the call on Tuesday.

Guy at Tudor told me 1500 are to be produced.
Tbh I wasn’t sure about collecting it, but it’s retailing at 2,630 and being advertised for sale online 5-6k so there some profit if I decide to sell it, also I think the prices are bound to go up once all 1500 are sold
£2,650 I think, same as a normal Black Bay.
I’m on the waiting list as of today which is 3 years. I don’t know how many a week/month are being released but apparently it’s 1,500 in total.
I guess the price will come down as more and more are released and hopefully the demand drops and lots of people drop off the list who are trying to make a quick buck.

In Harrods today to buy a Black Bay. Looked at the Green vs Blue and Black.
Green is limited. If i could have one... maybe the green, but didnt like the gilt edged dial. If it had the clean white dial and markers of the Blue watch it would be a winner.
I bought the Blue on a steel strap. Why? For me, it looks almost exactly like the snowflake Tudor watches of the 1960’s. perfect.
The green bezel just looks a bit too try hard. Its the dial markings that ruin it. The Rolex Kermit is a bit better but crazy prices now (for what was a bit part bin special).
Still — 5,000 on the waitlist according to Harrods sales dude for the green Tudor. Go Tudor
