This is the 3rd time in the last 12 months that Amazon has tricked me into joining prime. Hiding the 'NO' button, swapping the buttons around on the page and today placing the 'feck off no' button right below the sign up button - no separation at all, so that a simple missclick signed me up.

The kicker is the 3 cancel buttons that you have to click through to cancel membership.

I can only assume that they are desparate for numbers, why else resort to such trickery? No other online vendor resorts to such underhand sttery.

Edited to add : ...and they want you to leave feedback on their products but where do I leave feedback on their stty business practices?

Tldr ; fk off Amazon, I dont want your stty prime.

.....and breath.

I've been on Amazon since the late 90s. I still don't get how Prime will make my life better and have never felt the need to sign up.

I presume they have a deeper game plan with it than its current form, but I'm not sure what it is. If they push it ever harder I'll shop elsewhere.

I bought some stepladders at the weekend, they arrived today, they were the same price as everywhere else but I didnt have to trail out in the cold to get them.
They did arrive damaged so I have just sorted out the return, the steps were £52, the courier to pick up the return has cost them £28, and they have sent me some more out. I dont see how they can make any money on them tbh

I agree they are sneaky and persistent. It also seems they don't want you as a customer if you aren't a Prime member - they won't even sell you some stuff if you aren't!

Fine, I'll go elsewhere I tend to shop less on Amazon these days. The music and TV isn't that great - though I admit I'm tempted by the Grand Tour which I still haven't seen.

Every business ever seems to be more interested in creating a revenue stream than selling you stuff. Amazon included.

As per the OP, if I'm ordering online I'm not usually in a desperate rush, and I won't pay for TV, so it's a no from me.

I stupidly signed up for Prime last December specifically to watch the Grand Tour; what a crock of crap that was, imho. Cancelled Prime last week and now they keep pleading with me to pay for another year, bloody jokers.

The film and TV selection has a top layer of flashy titles. One level down and it's st that would get kicked off youtube.
