BACS withdrawal

Anyone know if its possible to send money to someone via BACS if you only know there debit card number?

Managed to sell some shares today and request payment via BACS, apparently the payment has been processed. I have never given this company my account number/sort code before so not sure how BACS can be used. I assume the debit card that I used to deposit money is the same for withdrawing money. Just trying to put my mind at ease!

It will be refunded back to your debit card and end up in your bank account so you have nothing to worry about.
