How much is my car worth??

Hi all

I have a 99T chimaera with 33k miles on it.
It is in wonderful condition with FTVRSH.
Dealers are selling similar ones for £21,000.
I want to sell it privately and the rule that I normally adhere to is to knock off a couple of grand off trade prices but 19,000 seems too much. I currently have it at 18,250. Am I being too optimistic here?

I thought that the rule of thumb was dealer less £3.5K. Of course a lot depends upon condition and spec so you will be a better judge than most but it does initially appear that you are a grand too high...but I don't know your car. Well from a quick flick through AutoTrader I'd pitch it at £16,995 if you want to sell it, I'd wait 2 months and pitch it a grand higher when the suns out
All depends just how quickly you want to shift it really

Approx six weeks ago I bought a Chimaera 500, 99 T, 34K miles for a touch under £17,000. Full TVRSH, but tyres not brilliant, needed a good waxoyl, big service due and new radiator. I believe colour combination matters to the price.

Bought mine at xmas via cheshire tvr, 2001x 450 Chim in Boston Green with 15500 miles for £19k.

Yes it would make a difference if I mentioned the engine size!..it's a 5l

I'm in no real rush to sell (well I need to by the end of the year)
