To peel or not.
Discussion
Just taken delivery of my Christmas day salami, I am doing this more as nibbles before main event.
Question do I peel the mould or not, for me I would leave it on its only penicillin so I am told.
But one of the family is undergoing chemo therapy the last thing I want is to put her through any further upset.
1) It will be ok
2) Cut it off
3) Warn her to leave alone
4) Don’t put it out, scoff the lot on my own on boxing day

My mum went through Chemo last year and from what i remember there wasn't anything she couldn't eat, she just couldn't eat due to lack of appetite.
I would put it out with the skin on and let them dig in and remove skin if they wish.
BTW - i wouldn't wish what they are going through on my worst enemy

You can research the specific treatment the person in question is going through, and then get the list of things they cannot eat form a reliable source. I believe that most chemo affects the immune system, so anything viral or bacterial is the biggest risk.
I think you're worrying about nothing, they might not even like Salami.
But to be honest, I'd be playing hide the sausage at Christmas if I was you.
I certainly hope I will be
