Sonos one, Play 1, echo, echo dot......

Have a few Sonos products already, Play 5, play 3, Connect and looking to add 1 or 2 smaller speakers for additional rooms plus some home automation at some point.

Ive read that Alexa on the Sonos One doesnt have the full capability of Alexa on an echo and is a bit clunky but i also want to have a seamless system and assuming a bunch of sonos products and an Echo wont be that? Amazon stuff is quite a bit cheaper so assuming audio quality isnt up there with sonos.

Im a bit confused as to whether i should just buy a Sonos one or a play 1 with a dot or and echo or echo plus?! Anyone able to offer an opinion or more pro's cons based on my current setup and requirements?

Given the Play 1 is £50 off until they run out of stock and a Dot is £34.99 at the moment. A Sonos One is £199. The money is in the pair of them.

Finally I have heard reports that the Sonos One doesn't feature the full set of commands as the Dot.

Sound is not up to Sonos levels or how you can play what you want. Also Alexa doesn't always understand you.

It's a good time to buy Sonos Play 1. I never thought I'd see the prices fall so low, but I guess there's much more competition now. I use a pair of them with an echo dot and they work great.

Are you seeing prices below £149?

If so they have been cheaper in the past - last Christmas I bought for £139.

I suspect they have further to fall.
