Pitfalls & Prangs Advice Sought!

Hi everyone

I have some £35k to spend on a 996. We would like a C2 with PSM or a C4 Coupe or Targa. For this money it looks like a 1998, 99 or 2000 car.

What should we be looking out for when viewing a car?

Are there any very expensive services when major parts have to be changed etc? What about engine temperature, fans comig on / off and all that good stuff? When were the face changes and what were they?

Is there a decent guide to buting a 996 that will answer my questions?

I just read the thread on the poor guy whose engine blew up because of the timing chain and would like to avoid the white smoke!

I used Peter Morgan before i bought. He will give you a good run down on your car before you buy. My experience was if it's cheap, there is a reason..
