PCM Connect APP

I've found that when using CarPlay and adding the PCM Connect APP, if I use one of the CarPlay apps the PCM Connect app crashes. Does this imply you can't run CarPlay and PCM Connect at the same time?

I have used the Car play with the PCM connected to my iPhone via WIFI hotspot on my phone and the car play did not crash. I have also used the SIM card in the PCM and using the PCM as a hotspot and connecting my iPhone vis the PCM hotspot, it also did not crash.
