Flies and yellow cars

After a wash, my cerb is usually swarming in little flies. Valhalla mentioned elsewhere this was the case with yellow TVRs. Do they just have good taste, is there really something in the colour, or are they just visible with the car being yellow?

Loads of bugs love the colour yellow, wear a yellow shirt in summer and you'll be followed by a cloud of flying bugs. Something to do with pollen, so I guess they must think they are in pollen heaven, much better to land on a cerb then a daisy

I love it when yellow cars come to TVR meets, cause they keep the flies of mine.

I've tried this many a time, the bugs seem to slide along the paint after the hit and it leaves a huge skidmark from their guts. And the more polished your car is the longer the skidmark

Hmmm, this one again. Must be getting warmer anyway if the little bug(ger)s are about in force.

I used a product called CrystalGlo and found the mess just washes off very easliy. You polish your car with it several times to build it up, then use the polymer laden shampoo every time you wash it, and it really did work.

Did you know they eat a special diet of black evo-stick beofre commiting suicide on your paintwork?

Insect traps in commercial green houses are yellow!!!
There has to be a clue there.

Gave my pride and joy a clean today, and sure enough within two minutes it was covered in bugs. So there was only one thing for it - a nice pleasant blast to clear them all away
