I hope you are not planning on fitting a servo to a Geep.
They do not need servo assistance!!!!

You should be alright as long as you only use the brakes in a straight line on a dry road when the tyres are warm.
Otherwise, get a tape of "The Skater's Waltz" for your stereo !!!
Cheers

If your brakes are lacking then check out the Jago Owners Club Technical site on http://joctecweb.future.easyspace.com
as there is a useful bit about upgrading the standard brake system to get about 30% more braking efficiency.
It has worked on all the Jago Geeps I have done it on over the years including ones that weigh far more than most Geeps do.

I wasn't trying to tell you what you probably already know it's just people have this idea that the Geeps need servo's when that is the last thing they need. So when it appears "I need a servo" (especially when I have had a bad day at work) the first thing to come to mine is "Oh no another Geep that's going to get stuffed into some thing hard".
OK with the Sammie yes it does need a servo I can confirm that having driven one back with the servo disconnected so that the brakes did not get sucked on.
You may be able to get a decent second hand one from Ian Harwood 0151 3392801
He is usually very helpful.
One thing you can do is fit the Cortina master cylinder (from the servo brake system of the 2 litre Mk 3, 4, 5)on to the Escort servo.
Its external dimensions are similar so should fit but it has a larger bore so displaces more fluid so better brakes.
Where you at Newark this year?
If so Hi we met hope you enjoyed the weekend.

Yes i was at Newark is year with my 2 boys & now x girlfriend & her girl :-) also it's the servo is us not the master cylinder ! the servo is leak & when I stop the car with the brakes it cuts out but ok if you rev it & let tickover also it's not stopping to good when braking & when you swich the engine off the brakes hard on the first pump no vac in it so must be put it down to the servo :-) p.s tks for the number will give it a ring

Hi Mark

The master cylinder hint was a suggestion in case you need to increase the braking efficiency more with having all those horses under the bonnet.

Hopefully Ian can get you a servo sent out quickly as like you say it is the servo that sounds shot.

Oh yes he isn't open on mondays.
