Front ARB bushes how ?

I'm in the middle of fitting new front drop links and thought I would poly bush the ARB while I was at it but it's such a tight fit I can't get them on.
I have tried silicon lubricant with no success what else could I use that wouldn't damage the bush, any advice much appreciated.

Have you got the right bushes, they shouldn't be that tight (mine weren't)?



I think there have been at least two different diameter anti-roll bars.

As said above Trev, it seems you may have the wrong bushes as mine slipped on easily. You may have 18 or 21 mm diameter bushes depending.

Check out Superflex website as I believe they may even be three different diameters.

Maybe shape the bracket around the new rubbers before offering it up Trev.

Just been out to have measure they appear to be the right size 21mm but the ARB has some slight bubbling on the paint which I think Is the problem, I will sand it down tomorrow and have another go, is it ok to use fairy liquid. I got the bushes from outlaw Motorsport as a kit for front and rear but there wasn't any size options.

Some light oil might be better as washing up liquid is full of detergent and corrosive to rubber I think!

Oil may attack the bushes, best to use silicone grease or spray.

Thanks guys, iirc the Honda accord drop links bolt on the opposite way to the old one's is that correct.

Yes - just done mine. You’ve got me thinking about the arb bushes though as will be the only bit of my suspension not renewed. What the views on pros / cons of super flex bushes vs standard? I’ve got standard bushes in my new wishbones and new bilsteins on
Noticed one of my bottom ball joint bolts was loose but it won’t nip up. Anyone happen to know what size / spec of bolt I need (it one of the pair of smaller bolts).

Well I don't know what all the fuss was about, a little bit of sanding a tub of boiling water and the ARB bushes just slipped on, the lower passenger side bolt almost got the better of me, I was contemplating taking the rad out but managed to get it on in the end.
