Does anyone know if the LSD plates can be repaired or adjusted without a total overhaul of the diff box?
My GKN diff is functioning well and is very quiet but, the limitted slip plates are not functioning. Can they be adjusted or can anyone recommend a specialist in the westcountry i can take the diff to for repair?
I plan to remove it myself as the Garage want £600 notes just to undo 27 bolts

Re the price you have been charged to remove the Diff, I dropped mine out recently and fitted a replacement. It took me a fairly full day to do but that also included some time cleaning up and painting the bits of chassis that were exposed. Fairly straight forward job provided you have the correct tools, actually lifting it out is really a two handed job
Technical Query...
I was told my LSD wasnt working as the wheels were spinning indipendantly on the ramp which would be correct diagnosis for a plate type LSD.
Speaking to a specialist (Bernie at CTS) earlier today, i am told that the GKN diff used on the Griff 500 is a Torque biasing type - essentially a Quaife ATB pattern, whereas the "Bible" says it is a Salisbury plate type, does anyone have any further knowledge on this?
If it is a Quafe ATB design how can i test if it is functioning correctly...apart from getting all squiffy out of junctions.
