I want to go to the Italian GP next year as part of a European road trip, does anyone have a recommendation for which grandstand to go for?

Also when are tickets going to be released? I'm signed up to a bunch of websites to get a notification when they're released, but i can't find any info on it via Google.

Should be on sale at the end of the month/early January. We were at the open grandstand at T1 a few years ago on the left-hand side of the track (where that polystyrene chicane is) and it was packed. And awesome. The grandstand opposite was also open but shaded under the trees; would have preferred being there as it was 35c all day long. TBH almost anywhere is good; I was counting on some first-corner action + you can get good shots of the cars as they slow for the corners there.

We've been twice, the first was in the 21b stand - great atmosphere with the tifosi, good view of the TV, but no shelter at all (and in 39°C weather, hot).

Second time we had seats on the "start/finish bleachers" in front of stands 4/5. Again great atmosphere (and seeing the start line was pretty cool), marginally cooler because the sun went down behind the grandstands.

Both very good and not too pricey, I'd go for the start/finish tickets again.

Been to Monza twice, 2013 and 2014, both times in Parabolica Interna A, number 23 on that map. Good view of the exit of Parabolica and the pit entrance, it's also good for getting onto the track at the end of the race and close enough that you can get in front of the podium (but to do that you'll have to ignore the gates that get opened and go over the top of the debris fence like the locals).

It's uncovered but the area behind the grandstand (shown in green on the map) it's wooded and it's nice to get out of the grandstand between races/sessions and lie in the shade of the trees. Close to toilets and food stalls too.
