I'm doing a track day at Brands on Monday and just received this email from Easytrack:

Easytrack said:
SPECIAL NOTE RELATING TO THE BRANDS HATCH VENUE:
From now on, due to health and safety regulations ( ) , at Brands Hatch, non-track cars (i.e. spectator cars, friends, support vehicles) cannot be left in the paddock.
These can be parked in the areas designated by the circuit.
Instructions will be given on the day where these are.
Trailers etc will be allowed into the Paddock for unloading but must be removed by 8:40am.

Anyone know what this is all about? If it means I have to leave my spare wheels, tools and personal possessions in a big heap in the paddock (rather than locked in my Land Rover) and hope no-one nicks anything while I'm on track, I don't fancy it much.

That sounds a bit odd

Have there been any problems recently in the paddock at Brands, or any other UK circuits for that matter, that anyone knows of?

So when you are running a radical type car and need to access tools etc throughout the day from the lorry etc you are supposed to do what ? Plus what is the difference because on race days the paddock will be full of trailers, awnings, non race cars etc etc

On race days the MSA or organising club provide third party insurance, that is partly why our entry fees are so high.

So in that case the cost of trackdays there should come down as they don't need 'special' insurance to cover those 'other' vehicles in the paddock????
