Hi,

My car seems to stutter sometimes while driving in the rain when its a heavy down pour, when I pull over turn the ignition off start engine it seems to clear it? its comes up on my dash to take it to the garage its only just recently started doing it? any suggestions would be appreciated

I never checked at the time its happened twice always in heavy rain during driving

The ECU is under that seat and can go haywire if it gets wet, check the carpet as a starting point and go from there.

Don't drive through it; get it sorted. If the check engine light is flashing it signifies an issue that - from the german translation - is Damaging to Catalyst. If you damage one or both of the cats repairs start getting extremely expensive.

That ECU as far as I’m aware has nothing to do with the engine, it’s more internal stuff, roof, windows, lights etc.

Coil packs 100%
Happened to me exactly these symptons and left me & the Mrs stranded badly on Sunday night. Ended up getting home at 04:30 in the morning
Get all 6 done if it's a 2008 car, not pricey

Hi the garage has just called me to confirm 2 coil heads are cracked thank you all for the advice and help
