bluetooth on tv with no BT
Discussion
I'm in the same boat, new samsung 32", no bluetooth built-in to make it worst there is no 3.5 headphone jack which is needed for those bluetooth transmitters just mentioned, what a ballache.
I have the toslink out but that's wired to my xbox haven't found a proper solution yet, all for the want of a few extra ££ that Samsung could have put in the bloody Smart Tv's.

Have you tried this? Works on some models...I have the toslink out but that's wired to my xbox haven't found a proper solution yet, all for the want of a few extra ££ that Samsung could have put in the bloody Smart Tv's.
1) Switch off the TV and press Info+Settings+Mute+Power button (quick one after another)
2) TV will start and display a menu with various settings - Select Engineer Setting
3) Set Bluetooth sound setting - ON
4) Goto MDR settings - Update value of BT Network(if i rem it correctly) - ON (its above BT Address field)
5) Restart TV and you should have BT receiver under Sound settings along with TV Speaker option.

Toslink out can go into a bluetooth transmitter. Xbox toslink out shouldn't be connected to tvs toslink out you are not achieving anything by that.
Yea your right, the toslink is plugged into my turtle beach wireless headset which I use for xbox and also for listening to tv. I have a bluetooth/radio speaker thingy (Sardine) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/POWERFUL-Portable-Wirel... I would like to connect to the tv to act as a mini soundbar that's where I'm stuck.

Shame as when I was buying the TV it was mentioned as with Bluetooth, except there are 2 models pretty much identical the one sold by Richer Sounds John Lewis Argos ect are sold without BT. https://www.johnlewis.com/samsung-ue32m5520-led-fu...
The same TV with BT and different remote control http://www.samsung.com/uk/tvs/full-hd-m5500/UE32M5...
If John Lewis did that model I'd send the one I got back.

Ah shame... I'm in the market for a new TV for the living room. It can get very confusing, it would seem that they had one particular model that was just out for Black Friday.Shame as when I was buying the TV it was mentioned as with Bluetooth, except there are 2 models pretty much identical the one sold by Richer Sounds John Lewis Argos ect are sold without BT. https://www.johnlewis.com/samsung-ue32m5520-led-fu...

I don't think its their Black Friday Deal. What I think it is the one with BT can only be bought from Samsung or there selected retail buyers I suppose its the USP for retailers. Biker 1 said:
Yes, I've been looking at something similar, the toslink side i would have to use, maybe tv toslink out to toslink in on that box then the toslink out on the box to my turtle beach headset then use the BT on that box to connect to my little BT speaker thing as long as they passthrough.Going back to the original poster, if he has 3.5 mm headphone jack his LG should work fine and I'm sure a 60" TV will have Toslink as well.
