MG Rover - I`ve been watching the unfolding.......

.....events on the news but I was still shocked when I saw some of the results for myself this afternoon while driving passed our local dealerships.

The MG Rover one has completely gone already, no cars, no signs, empty show rooms except for a couple of cleared desks!!

All those supporting livehoods gone

Went past my local dealer earlier (also a Noble dealer ) and its the busiest i have seen it! including someone seen going out in a TF demonstrator for a test drive

All the Pheonix owned dealerships plus Edwards of Stratford are closed for the weekend. The Leamington Spa showroom has been closed down (looked like it had been for some time). The ones closed just for the weekend will re-open on Monday morning.

Re the dealers, I'm sure they could put their heads togther and cook up some kind of company/deal so that owners' warranties can continue...?

If I was a Russian millionaire I might grab the MGF, but I fear the rest has had it.

Some enterprising Mexican will no doubt buy the tooling, shift the whole lot over to Central America, and knock them out at a bargain price.
