3cm is more than "a bit". I'd say that's very much not right. Are you sure it's parked on perfectly level ground?

Perfect level ground

There no cracks no damage to the under body

Did not see any difference in springs ether so not a mix up on sides

A lot of E36's suffer from the infamous 'gangsta lean' to the right. Could be subframe bushes, could be a crack on the subframe mount.

Or it's a case of 'They all do that sir' - Allegedly due to battery position or BMW offsetting the weight for an LHD car..

How many miles on the new suspension? Should bed in a bit more at the front.

One thing you could do is get the thicker spring pads for offside. I did this for the rear of my e36 328 and it helped somewhat.

Just had a look at realoem and while they don't list the 21mm rear pad for the e46, the standard pad is the same p/n as the e36 so the 33531091599 21 mm pad should fit.

You can double up on pads if it really bothers you, pita to fit though.

Good luck

Seen no cracks on the mounts looks clean under side of the car

With the new springs and that would only say under 500 miles

I'll have a good look at the bushes think I just looked at the frame and body.

I have had the diff out and replaced all bearings as well so most is new gear on it and refurbished

I could understand maybe 1cm if they'd built the car to sit level with an average driver sitting on the left (my Elise sits about 6mm higher on the right so it's level with me in the driver's seat) but 3cm is a crazy difference for new springs.

Will add this

Last year the front right spring broke but after stripping it all down was all ok the area no cracks nothing. The rear right I would say is the lowest point 2cm a canny bit

I'll have a look at the Bush and get back

Are all your tyres the same and inflated the same amount?

My neighbours car was leaning all strange the other day so I gave him a hand fitting new rear springs/shock mounts. After putting it all together the car still looked wonky.

On closer inspection he had a mismatched tyres and 10psi difference side to side and it was the difference in tyre profile/sidewall shape which made a one side look wonky

Am a bit of a geek on that

Both front pin point perfect 2.6 par and back 2.8 was hoping yesterday it was that but after playing with the pump and air gauge got them all perfect

You can see the right rear sits up in the arch more then the others side

Left side

I have driven to a drifrent area

69 left front right 67

66 left rear right 64

This time it's 2 cm on the right side lower both back and front

Reckon it's just the steering colum battery adding that bit extra

Hope am just being picky

Really? With at least two manky arches already needing sorting and repainting?

whats the point in sorting the arches before the main issues first

this state the same as every one thinks, thing is from the old spring to the new springs its the same, i have even had aftermarket springs on

ones i have on now are all bilsten shockers and Sachs springs and flo-flex pads all round

from just the wheel side that i have done so far

all new
bearings
dust shields
disks with all new bolts
calipiers
shockers
springs
spring rubber mounts
brake line links
drop links

there is no bent in the arms or mushroom tops no defects or cracks

i taken it to a garage and they can confirm its tilting but cant find a issue, i have only a XS-Power battery that is lighter then the OEM one but has more power and a 12 inch sub in the corner the other side has tools pump and a fire extinguisher.

i have taken the sub out it made no difference at all.

i can strip a hole E46 engine down and rebuild it but this has me, ones i have all the under side re built and degrease and all contamination and rust gone ill par 15 it re paint it with a chip resistant paint ill start on the body
