Hey Lads

Looking for ideas, put my name in for my office secret santa. We dish out the gifts on the 23rd when we're closing for Christmas so I need to sort it before then. Anywho, we are a fairly small company, about 30 people all in, I have only been with them 4 or 5 months. Yet I have somehow managed to get one of the office woman I have literally never met/spoken too for more than a few seconds (I am a site technician and only part time, spend minimal time in the actual office).

Just looking for ideas, she works in procurement, a 'girly girl' in her 30s I believe. There is a £10 limit. I absolutely suck at gifts for woman, particularly ones I don't know. Any suggestions guys? biggrin

I had exactly the same last year and drew some random girl from marketing. Girly girl hardly ever spoken to.

The answer is sea monkeys. She loves them and a year later they still take pride of place on her desk....

Being bloke, I'd be quite happy with a SS pressie to do with tuning cars - is that sexist too? Anyways, my O/H (who is female BTW) chose it.

I'm sure a little budget creep is okay.

That did make me chuckle although I can see the appeal in an office kind of way.

I recall doing Secret Santa thing at an old firm I was at. Department of 100+ people and just get given a name, ended up with someone who I'd never met. Ended up buying something generic.

If it's amongst a team of people you work closely with it can be quite fun though. I bought one of the guys a Nerf gun in one team I worked with, that ended up being quite a laugh.

Can't find a link but got someone a DIY Vajazzle kit one year too that went down very well.

Last office based secret Santa I did I bought a used false leg off eBay and some pink sparkly tights for it (and it came in just under budget!)

The victim was a little taken aback but it still has pride of place in the office all year round and this was from 4yrs ago now

Best (!) In our as exchange was the truly random.....5kg of rice.... Leading to a fair few wtf moments....lots of piss taking and having to lug it around on a pub crawl...with the inevitable small hole in the bottom...leaving a trail ...... (Copious amounts of alcohol in the equation may have enhanced the comedic effect.....)

I was involved in the office one this year, thankfully the female was a colleague I knew so I bought her a bottle of Gin from a Christmas market.
seemed to like it.
