Best/Lowest depreciating sportscar (Convertible) for 50k?

Where would you put your money? 4 rules, as follows:

1 Must be convertible
2 Dont want to lose my shirt
3 Must have A/C (I know that may seem an odd requirement for a drop-top)
4 Must be fast/powerful/ fun to drive

Gut feeling those are going to start depreciating soon.
They are not 'everyday' cars and have limited market appeal.
Reliability may also be their weakness.

But this is purely just my speculation.

Due to their low volume numbers and likely low mileage examples, it may well be that they'll hold their price as collectibles, as it seems every performance car seems to be these days.

It's not remotely odd. You'd want a heater to keep you warm with the top down on a cold day, why wouldn't you want AC to keep you cool on a hot day? With no shade it's arguably more important in a convertible.

You can get a 3rd gen convertible Viper for less than £50k. They're reliable, easy to work on and great fun to drive. Steering wheel will be on the left but thats generally not an issue. Also will have A/C. They don't change much, if at all, in value either.

Yes, not to every ones taste but a nice car to own and stand out a bit amongst all the Porsche on the road.

Another vote for the 987 Boxster Spyder. Wonderful cars and the budget will get you a minter that should rise in value.

981 GTS also a good shout, but they'll depreciate for a while yet won't they?
