Hornblower books are better than Sharpe books but but not by much in my opinion. Like them both but only started reading Sharpe recently.

Both good on the box.......dons and frogs eh? Is that PC?

Books are great my dad got me hooked a while ago, currently on Sharps Regiment, 14th out of the 17 books.

I havent seen much of the TV series but because I have seen a couple of episodes Sharp will forever be Sean Bean.

I bought the first Sharp DVD for my DAD I really should get round to borrowing it

Being a Yorkshire man I'm more of a Sharpe fan, either way it's feel good British TV at its best.

Someone should do a celebrity death match between the two of em, just who would win?

I like Sharpe. It has a sense of the history of its time. Also, I like the fact that Irish actors make frequent appearances which accurately reflects the large number of Irishmen serving in HM Forces at that time.

Other books by Cornwell are good too. I loved the Warlord Chronicles about King Arthur. Fantastic!

Sharp is great. I love the books and the shows.
