RS Turbo Engine
Discussion
Which RS did the engine come out of??
If it is out of the MK2 Escort RS2000 then yes it fits. But as you say it is a turbo unit then I presume it comes out of some thing else.

Suggestion: get the rear half of a Banham RS200 replica chassis and graft that on the back of the Jago ladder frame. You'd get to use the gearbox and suspension as well...
I have a spare Lancia 2000 engine and box that would go well with the rear half of a Stratos replica chassis- I've often wondered why no-one's done it before.
I bet the weight distribution wouldn't be far wrong and the bonnet area would house a useful luggage box.
If you must use it inline, check out any seven-type replica to see how an engine can be slung from two adjacent chassis rails. It often involves E-type Jag rubber mushrooms sat on the chassis with tube(s) running diagonally up to suitable plates bolted to the three holes in the block.
Cheers

Thanks guys, ive just got it today, i was not going to buy it but i think it will be a nice challenge and would give my jago i real nice bit off power.
I got it of a web-site for just £500 and it has 320 bhp at the fly wheel, so once on the old mk2 escort prop it should prove to be fast and fun.
im takin my little yellow jeep down to donny so hoppefully ill get some good ideas there.
thanks
