I've been given a £100 Amazon voucher, and thought I would invest in some decent cycling shorts as the ones I have don't offer the kind of comfort I'm looking for!

I have no idea what are good manufacturers and what aren't.

Gore seem to have good reviews.

Padding / comfort is the most important criteria.

Thanks

Thanks! Should I assume the endurance range would be better suited to commuting?

Are they purely for commuting?

If so £100 would probably be better spent for 2 £50 pairs, something like Altura.

Another one for Lusso, the active aero bibs at £99 won the group test in cycling weekly this year.

How far is your committee? If less than 10 miles or so it seems a waste of money to buy stuff with that in mind. Personally I'd save the voucher for something else.
I commute 10 miles for most of the week in 6 quid Decathlon shorts, 15 quid tights, and cheap tops. Everything gets so covered in ste, and combined with general wear and tear and the occasional unfortunate scuff, I'd be loathed to waste posh stuff on it.

Ive had these

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Castelli-Free-Aero-Race-S...

For a few years now. I like them

They are slightly cheaper elsewhere, but I know you're tied to Amazon for the voucher.
