Mouse Out - Pen Thingy In?

Anyone done away with their mouse and use a pen and tablet thingymajig set up?

Any experiences or recommendations?

(Thinking of Photoshop work.....)

Well i've not done away with my mouse (well, trackball actually) but I do use a pen and tablet for Photoshop work. I find it much more natural for 'drawing'. However, the mouse/trackball is still far better IMHO for general computer work. So use both.

Agreed... I find the pen great for a lot of Photoshop work but occasionally it's just a little inaccurate (could be the quality of my tablet... I certainly didn't go for one of the more expensive ones!)

Also, for standard PC stuff... definitely better with a mouse.

I'm right handed with a mouse and left handed with a pen, so I use both at once

Only really use the pen for airbrushing and blending though where the pressure sensitivity is a big plus. As soon as I want to select a menu or something I switch to my mouse hand.
