oops!

Only seen pics of the aftermath, but apparently a very aggressive move didn't work out too well, and both a Porsche and the Noble had to retire.

Apparently the Porsche driver felt very wronged, and the spectators there tended to agree.

Just seen the pics posted on there, nasty crash for the porker. EERC website claims £100,000 of damage all in!

Organisers are not very happy by the looks of it!

"The EERC would like to thank MSV and all their staff for a really great meeting, the BRSCC ran the meeting as true professionals and the ran on time even with major incidents... To the drivers, on the whole the driving standards where good, but and there always is one, more respect for each other and giving and taking of space at the start has to improve, £100000.00 of damage cannot be afforded or tolerated....if you know you are faster than the guy next to you prove it after 3-4 laps into the race when it has settled down, don't be a -unt and show yourself as a novice.. Well done to Bo and Calum in the Class 1 car... James is always right....and to the Coles very well one day you will represent the UK in the world circus. Notible were the Topcat Team for their efforts in the rebuild of the new Blue car in 2 weeks, thank you, and to the drive of the day Simons and DeCruze in the M3 well done..Stories will be told and thank you all for making my day. sportingly James

What's that about "don't race if you can't afford the loss of your car"...

Seems some people on that Elise forum think you should drive around like a Merry-Go-Round, apparently Britcar isn't meant to less agressive than AMOC MESC ,

Bet it gave some excitement for the crowds

EERC seem to have "toned down" their version of events...

http://eerc.co.uk/cms/news.php

"The pit lane incident didn’t jeopardise the race start, though Hirst and Chambers had an inpatient pack bunching-up behind them as the red lights were finally extinguished, which didn’t auger well for a clean first lap. Hirst took the lead through Paddock, but Harris got the pink Porsche out of shape, and spun into the barriers on the outside of the track running up to Druids. In the mayhem, Leslie and Noble seized opportunities, going either side of the DTM Astra as they approached the hairpin, and neither making it stick, both ending up in the gravel, Leslie having incurred severe damage in the process. "

Sounds like the Porsche lost it and Lee wasn't quite able to get out of the way and take advantage of it.

Amazing what a day does to the story.

Hello Noble people!

Thought you might like a pic of Lee's racer BEFORE the first lap incident at Brands on Saturday...

Great looking car, shame it didn't get the chance to show it's full potential. Roll on Snetterton 21/22 May!
